Hector was created out of a simple need. I was sick of feeling unorganized and sick that no tool out there seem to work how I did. When you think of the popular project management tools out there they all have one thing in common – they are built for teams. Great news for teams, but as a freelancer who works for themselves, or potentially with many teams, these other apps become plain messy and not fun to deal with.
The promise of Hector is simple – All of your projects and tasks on one screen, regardless of who you are working with. It was with that simple thought that led me to design and build the initial version of Hector in just 30 days. You can read more about that here.
For the time being Hector is handled by me, RJ McCollam. I have been freelancing since 2008, and make the majority of my living as a front-end developer. I host a podcast for freelancers looking to make the jump to full time freelancing, and you can find out more about me on my website.
